Nick owns and operates Dancer Concrete Design, a specialty concrete finishing company that started in his basement and has grown to be the leader for architectural concrete finishes in the region. He lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and his favorite thing is celebrating life with his wife, Alexis, and three sons.
Alexis is the wife of Nick and the mother of three beautiful, wild, and creative little boys, Clark, Charlie, and Clyde. She has her roots in Interior Design with a B.S. from Purdue University. She has been involved in the creative workings at Dancer Concrete Design since the business was established in 2011. When she’s not loving on her family or working, you can find her pursuing one of her many passions in design, writing, art, yoga, or gardening.
Jacob has been a part of the Dancer Concrete Design family since 2014. He identifies well with the organization’s values and appreciates the positive environment of DCD. He is very family-oriented and enjoys kayaking, hiking, and being outdoors.
Nick, his wife Kelsey, and his son Krue joined the DCD family in 2017. Nick operates in the project management role day-to-day and enjoys seeing the unique projects that our team has the opportunity to impact. As a family, they enjoy spending time together and experiencing the little intricacies that life has to offer.
Dennis has been the business manager for Dancer Concrete Design since 2014. He has his hands in just about everything around the office including human resources, accounting, event planning, and more. He enjoys the community at DCD and jokes that the group of guys keeps him young. He has three children and two grandchildren, and he enjoys experiencing life with them whenever he can.
Ben joined the DCD team in September 2015. He enjoys the hands-on nature of the job and working alongside other like-minded individuals that support and care for each other. He has a background in animation from Huntington University and enjoys creating projects in his free time. He also enjoys watching movies and spending time with his family.
Andréa has been assisting with the marketing side of Dancer Concrete Design since 2014. She completes projects such as updating the website, proofing and editing, and troubleshooting issues when they arise. She loves working for a company that focuses not only on projects, but also on growing individuals and building community. When she’s not working, she and her husband, Chris, love hanging out with their two little boys and taking them to sporting events.
Joel began working for DCD as a summer hire but decided to join the team full-time in August 2016. He loves the challenging work and admiring the before and after of the project process. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out at the lake, going on walks, and spending time with his son and girlfriend.
Roger has been working with Dancer Concrete Design for five years. He is a team lead and a master craftsman, and he enjoys the physical labor that goes into each project. He came to DCD from a background in concrete finishing, so he brought with him a new set of problem solving skills that he has been able to put to good use when working with customers. Roger has been married to his wife for 44 years, and they are currently expecting their first grandchild in September. In addition to his role as a husband, father, and soon-to-be grandfather, he has also been a competitive distance runner for 41 years.
Ben joined the Dancer Concrete Design family after graduating from high school in June 2016. He has enjoyed working in a supportive, positive environment where people are continually encouraging each other to do better each day. He is passionate about golfing and spends his time outside of work practicing and improving his game. In addition to golfing, he enjoys relaxing and spending time with his girlfriend.
Damin joined the staff at Dancer Concrete Design in July 2017. He enjoys the supportive community at DCD and working alongside his two brothers-in-law, Joel and Jacob Janssens. He feels grateful that he has found a career where he wakes up every day excited to go to work. His passions include spending time with his family, exercising, and watching movies.
Scott began working with Dancer Concrete Design in August 2017 for the opportunity to learn a new profession that would allow him to have more time for his family. He enjoys the active nature of the work and not being in an office all day. When he’s not working, you can find him cooking with his wife at home or looking for adventures on the road.
Jake joined the staff at Dancer Concrete Design in August 2016 after deciding he needed a change in career. He enjoys working with his hands out in the field and getting the chance to see projects completed from start to finish. He is an avid ultimate frisbee player and disc golf competitor, and he also enjoys running and hanging out with his nephew.
Ryan joined the team searching for a chance to gain experience and learn a new profession. He enjoys the intense physical nature of the labor and the supportive community that Dancer Concrete Design offers. Coming from a background working in a large corporation, he enjoys being able to make more personal connections with his fellow staff members. In his free time, he likes riding his bike, relaxing, and hanging out with his three-year-old daughter at the park.
John joined the staff at Dancer Concrete Design after spending 17 years in the music business as a viola and piano orchestral musician. He was searching for a change in his career and appreciated that DCD offered the opportunity to teach the craft without any prior experience. Outside of work, he fills his time with music, martial arts, and playing Texas Hold’em with his friends every other week.
Davion has been working with Dancer Concrete Design since March 2019. He identified well with the mission and core values of DCD and decided that he wanted to be a part of the team. He is a soon-to-be father and enjoys spending his time outside of work playing basketball.
Robert started working with DCD after deciding that he was ready for a change in his career. He worked in dog grooming for many years prior to joining the team, and still continues helping friends and family with their dog grooming needs outside of work. He has enjoyed getting to know the group of guys he works with and is excited to continue learning and growing through this organization.
