Meijer

Dancer Concrete Design has installed epoxy floors in seven different Meijer locations. For all thirteen separate projects at the seven store locations, we installed a full broadcast epoxy floor. This is a slip-resistant flooring that will hold up to the heavy foot traffic.

We start the installation by applying a base coat of medium grey epoxy. A chip blend called “Oystershell” is then broadcast into the floor. The chips create the slip-resistant flooring. A final topcoat is applied after the chips have been scraped to seal the floor. For each bathroom floor, we also installed an integral cove. This means that we took the epoxy and applied it vertically around the edges of the room. This helps protect the walls from moisture and allows the bathroom to be hosed down. The 5″ cove is applied with the same steps as the floor: base coat, chips and top coat. The final step is to apply an urethane gloss finish coat.
