This private client was looking for a durable flooring solution for a show-garage. The original space comes with some history – the building housed the first Volkswagen Dealership in Fort Wayne. To preserve some of the historical character of this garage, polished concrete – as completed with our densifying and stain guard application – was an excellent solution. This floor will withstand tire traffic and foot traffic again for years to come.

While this is the main floor of the building, there is a basement below it. The original concrete in this space was softer and had some pitting. There were also holes where cars were previously chained down. Our team filled the holes (photo below) and completed patching before starting the polishing process. Aggregate was exposed to a mixture of Classes C & D, and the floor was shined to 400-grit, Satin finish. There was an extra densification process and a grout coat was applied to ensure maximum durability and performance over the life of the floor.
