Goodwill made its first debut in the Fort Wayne area in 1936, and since then it has flourished. Goodwill focuses on helping people help themselves by providing employment and job training for those who need assistance in our community. The new location on East State Blvd is the 6th store in Fort Wayne. Goodwill accepts donations at this store, as well as all other stores, that will fund their operations when they are sold.

The concrete our team originally experienced in this space was older, so some patching was required throughout the main retail space. Heavy grinding was also required in the initial passes of the polishing process. Because of this, medium and large aggregate (Classes C + D) were exposed throughout the space. The owner wished to keep the concrete its natural color to provide a neutral backdrop for the diverse items that are donated to the store. The concrete was polished to a 200-grit Matte finish. This brings subtle shine to the floor without having too much glare. With all of the movement of clothing racks, foot traffic, and shopping cart wheels, this durable polished concrete floor will serve Goodwill nicely for years to come, just as they serve the community.
