Bronson Veterinary Services is a full-service animal hospital located in Coldwater, Michigan. They accommodate animals from small dogs to horses, and provide services ranging from acupuncture to dental care to emergencies, and also offer a pharmacy. Staff members at Bronson have an impressive 60 years of experience between them. This was our second flooring project at Bronson Veterinary Services – you can view the first project here.

This project included the entryway and lobby at Bronson Vet. The owner had envisioned a rustic and warm atmosphere for this space that would also withstand foot traffic – both from humans and animal friends. Polished concrete is a great fit for these needs. To create a warm finish for the floor, a mesquite reactive stain was chosen. The reactive stain produced a warm, earthy brown tone and variations in coloring throughout the space. This original floor had some pitting, so patching and grouting was required. As can be seen in the gallery below, this variation in the concrete really produced a unique visual aesthetic as the end result. The floor was polished to a 400-grit, satin finish, and exposed aggregate came to a mixture of Cream and Sand (Classes A and B). The polished and stained concrete floor compliments the other natural stones, woods, and furniture in the space. The countertops in this lobby were created by Clauss Designs.
